Reference Point Therapy

At the start of 2009 Simon and Evette Rose launced their innovative Reference Point Therapy; the healing that really works.

The principal behind RPT is to trace trauma back to the original reference point that caused it and to clear it at its source, this can enable very deep healing.

I have had the priviledge of training with the founders Simon and Evette. Further information is available in the video at http://www.referencepointtherapy.com

Our feelings determine how we perceive the world. Our perceptions build the person that we are and how we see the world. We are shaped by these emotions and feelings and by how others react to us. RPT can release traumatic feelings passed down through generations enabling the body to heal itself.

The basic approach is to get underneath our negative beliefs by finding the earliest reference point for the trauma that created those beliefs in the first place - the underpinning belief. This can happen within our lifetime or in the womb, it can also lie in our ancestory.

You can read about Simon & Evette's story at www.referencepointtherapy.com.

There is also a very useful analogy which can be used to explain RPT. Some people can go into anaphylactic shock if stung by a bee, this can happen if the first time that person was stung their body mistakenly created the wrong antibodies. As a result their future reactions will be severe.

With RPT we are looking to find when that initial "sting" or feeling took place and the associations that were created - each time the body is in the same situation the association is reinforced, and that is what we are looking to heal.

The wonderful thing is that once that original reference point is found, all the beliefs and feelings that rested on it will also vanish, once it is merely ackowledged.

What we resist, persists so in finding that first reference point we can allow change to occur.
